To Hold On? Or Let Go?

The greatest lesson that life can teach us is perhaps to let go. To let go of a relation, of a friend, of a position, of a place, and of a part of you that meant everything just a little while back.

The biggest gift of a life lies in it's perpetuity, or the lack of it. Things that seem to define identity are left behind and newer ones form an indelible part of it.

To grow and mature is not to age, but to embrace the changes that create us and that have created us and that will, in future, create us. The comforts of a life are often misperceived to exist in the situations that are, instead of the things still there to know. Each day spent, each effort made and each endeavor undertaken must be an exercise in self discovery, of pushing ourselves against the odds, to simply test as to how far we can go and wherein lies our strength.

Constancy is demeaning. To a human life and to everything it can do. It's a gross violation of the senses and a disrespect of the many desires and motivations that shape it. How you break the barrier of mundane drudgery rests unto you. But to break it and move on, and to really live, is a duty you owe to yourself.
